Les ornithologues | 2006

Collaboration with Vincent Lafrance

All creatures have the need to search. Search for food, opportunities, the right way, love. To find out what's “on the other side” or “ over there”. The birdwatchers search for the rare sighting. That one little creature that they have never seen before, and probably never will again. They go on for days, and days on end. Open to the elements. In rain or shine; standing as still as they can. Waiting. Many never see it but still go on. Full of hope and promise.

We constantly search. Whether we are genuinely lost or in search of something else is not known yet. Even irrelevant.
