Finally, we are one (or Conscious transference), from the series Containing the Divine | 2012

One of two video works witnessing mesmerizing phenomena suggestive of connections, communities, and the passing of time, Finally we are one (or Conscious transference) bears witness to the captivating daily ritual performed by thousands of wild parakeets in Belém (Brazil). As dusk approached, the birds would congregate to the central square in the city. In flocks or in harmonious pairs they performed synchronous choreographies suggestive of starling flight patterns; all the while emitting their shrill cries before settling to roost in a 400-year old, 30-foot tall Ceiba tree.
